Objectives

The goal of the ITIS is to train students who can achieve their ambitions through the free choice of their future career by providing them with a high technical level of teaching in industrial, artistic and paramedical specialties.

In response to labor market needs and requirements of the country development, curricula have been designed to develop the spirit of technological innovation and globalization criteria. Thus, teaching and training meet and comply with the standards of production and work while respecting the quality, safety, environmental protection and competitive cost.

Philosophy

We are committed to student learning and believe that educators are important role models. To maintain an atmosphere where our students feel comfortable and confident, we use constructive guidance and positive reinforcement.

Our students are encouraged to adopt themselves the shape of our classroom dynamics through openly sharing their work and ideas which enriches their peers and foster their intellectual development.

Our students have individual learning preferences, differences and needs. We help to ensure that each student feels successful by developing independent thinking skills, problem solving techniques and encouraging risk taking in learning. We believe that it is essential that our students develop interpersonal skills that allow them to excel in the team format. They must exhibit mutual respect for alternative paradigms and listen empathically to adequately understand rather than seeking purely to advocate their own ideas.

We are dedicated to monitoring student understanding. Through carefully assessing individual student progress, we can address deficiencies and celebrate successes.           By providing assessment through various hands-on methods, performance based tasks, and teacher–made tests, we can more effectively monitor what a student has truly learned. Daily observations and the interviews that include the students, the teachers and responsible persons from the labor market, provide additional insight for curricula development in order to respond better to the real needs of the labor market.
